The decision this tool supports
A frequency policy can sound complete while assigning more count events than the available working days and team capacity can deliver. This page keeps the decision bounded to required counts per workday and the supporting outputs shown beside it. Cycle Count Schedule does not import an account, infer a market rate, or silently substitute an industry average.
Inputs and units
The Cycle Count Schedule calculation uses SKUs in count program, Required counts per SKU per year, Available count workdays, Daily counting capacity. Keep all money values in one currency and all time, distance, mass, energy or volume entries in the unit printed beside the field. Mixing Cycle Count Schedule scopes can produce a plausible number with the wrong meaning.

Formula and worked check
Annual count events = SKUs × required counts per SKU; workday target divides by available days; spare capacity = days × daily capacity − events. 2,400 SKUs counted four times need 9,600 annual events, 40 per workday over 240 days and leave 2,400 events of capacity at 50/day. The Cycle Count Schedule default is an executable known-answer case, not a benchmark or recommendation. Change one input and verify that the direction of required counts per workday still matches the stated relationship.
How to interpret the result
A negative spare-capacity result means the frequency, workday calendar, scope or daily throughput must change before assigning dates. The additional Cycle Count Schedule outputs expose the denominator, comparison, capacity or reverse value needed to audit the primary result instead of presenting one unexplained number.
