Contractors often group the same project differently, so comparing only the bottom line hides omitted scope and allowance uncertainty. The row-preserving workspace makes a correction repeatable without rebuilding a prompt or transmitting the source file.
Deterministic workflow
Group entered line items by contractor and exact scope label, total stated amounts, mark every missing contractor-scope cell and count user-declared allowances. This page accepts at most 5,000 records and 2 MB of text; rejected items retain their row references while valid items remain available.
Why a dedicated interface helps
Use the matrix to ask clarifying questions and align scope; do not infer quality, licensing, schedule, warranty or the lowest final cost from stated amounts alone. Immediate recalculation and a stable export are useful when the same rule must be applied consistently across a list instead of explained one item at a time.

It cannot read PDF quotes, normalize synonymous scope names, assess workmanship, verify credentials, price exclusions or recommend a contractor. No supplied URL is requested and no pasted markup or code is executed; output is inserted through text-only DOM operations.
Verification and provenance
The implementation was checked against U.S. Small Business Administration — Manage your business on 2026-08-26, with fixtures for a known answer, an invalid input and a batch-specific edge condition. The fixture compares two contractors over three scopes and exposes Alpha's missing painting line plus one allowance.
