The decision this tool supports
Probability, decimal odds and odds ratios use different denominators, so a direct percentage-to-ratio shortcut is often inverted. This page keeps the decision bounded to decimal odds and the supporting outputs shown beside it. Probability to Odds does not import an account, infer a market rate, or silently substitute an industry average.
Inputs and units
The Probability to Odds calculation uses Probability. Keep all money values in one currency and all time, distance, mass, energy or volume entries in the unit printed beside the field. Mixing Probability to Odds scopes can produce a plausible number with the wrong meaning.

Formula and worked check
Decimal odds = 1 ÷ probability; odds-for ratio = p ÷ (1 − p); odds-against ratio is its reciprocal. A 60% probability equals decimal odds 1.67, odds for 1.50:1, odds against 0.67:1 and a 40% complement. The Probability to Odds default is an executable known-answer case, not a benchmark or recommendation. Change one input and verify that the direction of decimal odds still matches the stated relationship.
How to interpret the result
Odds-for output expresses favorable units per unfavorable unit; it is not a betting recommendation or calibrated event estimate. The additional Probability to Odds outputs expose the denominator, comparison, capacity or reverse value needed to audit the primary result instead of presenting one unexplained number.

Limitations and safety boundary
Probabilities of exactly zero or one have infinite ratios and are intentionally excluded; rounding can change displayed ratios. Probability to Odds is an estimate and cannot replace a contract, local code, licensed professional, calibrated measurement, lender statement or platform report where one governs the decision.
