How to Use This Tool
Model simultaneous demand from entered load groups without claiming electrical-code compliance. Estimate diversified circuit demand from connected load groups, editable coincidence factors and a user-entered planning capacity.
The decision this tool supports
Adding every nameplate load assumes all equipment peaks together, while an unexplained diversity percentage can hide which group drives the result. This page keeps the decision bounded to diversified demand and the supporting outputs shown beside it. Circuit Load Diversity does not import an account, infer a market rate, or silently substitute an industry average.
Inputs and units
The Circuit Load Diversity calculation uses Group A connected load, Group A coincidence, Group B connected load, Group B coincidence, Group C connected load, Group C coincidence, Planning capacity. Keep all money values in one currency and all time, distance, mass, energy or volume entries in the unit printed beside the field. Mixing Circuit Load Diversity scopes can produce a plausible number with the wrong meaning.

Formula and worked check
Diversified demand = sum of each connected-load group × its entered coincidence factor; headroom subtracts demand from planning capacity. Groups of 40 A at 80%, 30 A at 50% and 20 A at 25% produce 52 A diversified demand and 8 A headroom against 60 A. The Circuit Load Diversity default is an executable known-answer case, not a benchmark or recommendation. Change one input and verify that the direction of diversified demand still matches the stated relationship.
How to interpret the result
Use the grouped output for an early scenario only; equipment schedules, measured demand and the applicable design method remain authoritative. The additional Circuit Load Diversity outputs expose the denominator, comparison, capacity or reverse value needed to audit the primary result instead of presenting one unexplained number.

Save the Circuit Load Diversity input values and date with any material decision. A later Circuit Load Diversity rerun is reproducible only when the same assumptions and units are available.
Limitations and safety boundary
This is not feeder, conductor, overcurrent, demand-factor or code sizing and does not model phase balance, power factor, inrush or nonlinear loads. Circuit Load Diversity is an estimate and cannot replace a contract, local code, licensed professional, calibrated measurement, lender statement or platform report where one governs the decision.
