How to Use This Tool
Apply graduated tiers without gaps, overlap or charging every unit at the final marginal rate. Generate a graduated three-tier price calculation from quantity breaks and unit prices, including blended and marginal outputs.
The decision this tool supports
Applying the final tier price to every unit confuses graduated pricing with all-units pricing and can materially understate a quote. This page keeps the decision bounded to graduated total price and the supporting outputs shown beside it. Tiered Pricing Table does not import an account, infer a market rate, or silently substitute an industry average.
Inputs and units
The Tiered Pricing Table calculation uses Order quantity, Tier 1 upper limit, Tier 1 unit price, Tier 2 upper limit, Tier 2 unit price, Tier 3 unit price. Keep all money values in one currency and all time, distance, mass, energy or volume entries in the unit printed beside the field. Mixing Tiered Pricing Table scopes can produce a plausible number with the wrong meaning.
- Order quantity is entered in units.
- Tier 1 upper limit is entered in units.
- Tier 1 unit price is entered in currency/unit.
- Tier 2 upper limit is entered in units.
- Tier 2 unit price is entered in currency/unit.
- Tier 3 unit price is entered in currency/unit.
Formula and worked check
Each tier charges only units inside its continuous interval; total is tier subtotals summed, and blended price divides total by quantity. 2,500 units at $10 for the first 1,000, $8 for the next 1,000 and $6 thereafter total $21,000, or $8.40 blended. The Tiered Pricing Table default is an executable known-answer case, not a benchmark or recommendation. Change one input and verify that the direction of graduated total price still matches the stated relationship.
How to interpret the result
Confirm the contract uses graduated tiers; if it uses all-units or block pricing, this table is the wrong model. The additional Tiered Pricing Table outputs expose the denominator, comparison, capacity or reverse value needed to audit the primary result instead of presenting one unexplained number.
Assumptions
- Tier limits are cumulative and continuous.
- Prices apply only to units inside each tier.
- Order quantity uses one billing period and unit definition.
Save the Tiered Pricing Table input values and date with any material decision. A later Tiered Pricing Table rerun is reproducible only when the same assumptions and units are available.
Limitations and safety boundary
It excludes minimum commitments, retroactive tiers, fixed fees, tax, currency, contract dates and more than three price bands. Tiered Pricing Table is an estimate and cannot replace a contract, local code, licensed professional, calibrated measurement, lender statement or platform report where one governs the decision.
