How to Use This Tool

Turn task-role assignments into a matrix with accountable and responsible conflict checks. Generate a task-by-role RACI matrix from assignment rows, flag tasks without exactly one Accountable owner or any Responsible role, and export CSV.

The work this page finishes

A responsibility table can look populated while a task has two Accountable owners, no Responsible person or a contradictory duplicate assignment. Keeping source order beside the computed artifact lets a user repair only the failed entries and reproduce the same batch later.

Rows or choicesValidate every itemReview and export
The fixture creates two tasks across three roles with one Accountable and one Responsible assignment per task.

Deterministic workflow

Accept one task-role-code assignment per row, pivot tasks against roles, permit R/A/C/I codes and require exactly one A plus at least one R per task. A run is capped at 5,000 items and 2 MB, preventing an accidental oversized paste while preserving successful rows when another row fails.

Why a dedicated interface helps

Resolve every ownership conflict with the actual team, then circulate the exported matrix as a decision record rather than treating software as the authority. A purpose-built form exposes every assumption and returns the same ordered structure on every run, which is more practical than reconciling shifting conversational output.

Assumptions

  • Each code is intentionally assigned by the team.
  • Role names and task names are compared exactly after trimming.
  • Each task needs exactly one A and at least one R.

Keep an untouched copy for comparison after import; the browser performs the work locally, but local software and extensions are not controlled by this page.

Limitations and review boundary

It does not choose roles, judge workload, enforce organizational policy, notify people or distinguish approval from legal accountability. The implementation neither follows user-entered links nor evaluates their contents, and it displays material as plain text rather than active HTML.

Verification and provenance

Fixtures derived from the displayed rule and U.S. Small Business Administration — Manage your business were reviewed on 2026-08-26; they include normal, empty or invalid, and partial-failure behavior. The fixture creates two tasks across three roles with one Accountable and one Responsible assignment per task.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does RACI Matrix complete?
It applies the stated generator rule to raci matrix inputs and produces the reviewable output shown above.
Why use a dedicated RACI Matrix page instead of chat?
The RACI Matrix workflow preserves ordering, applies identical validation on every run and creates an artifact without conversational drift.
Does RACI Matrix send the input to ecech?
No. RACI Matrix reads pasted or selected content inside the current browser tab and does not call an ecech calculation API.
What verifies the default result?
The fixture creates two tasks across three roles with one Accountable and one Responsible assignment per task.
When should I reject the output?
It does not choose roles, judge workload, enforce organizational policy, notify people or distinguish approval from legal accountability.
Which reference supports RACI Matrix?
The recorded RACI Matrix reference is U.S. Small Business Administration — Manage your business, reviewed 2026-08-26.
