How to Use This Tool
Google Play currently gives the app name 30 characters, the short description 80 and the full description 4,000. Paste one localization at a time. The counter treats a full-width or half-width character as one Unicode code point, matching Google's statement that the published maxima apply regardless of width.
The short description has a different job
The short description is the first explanatory text users see on the app detail page before expanding the full description. Use its limited space to state the product and benefit, not to repeat the app name, stack unrelated keywords or make promotional claims that quickly become false.
A character counter cannot approve metadata
Google's metadata policy also addresses misleading, irrelevant, excessive or improperly formatted content. It warns against ranking, price and promotional claims in the title, repeated special characters, emojis and unnecessary all-caps styling. The page flags only obvious patterns; read the current policy and make sure every claim accurately reflects the app.

Model assumptions
- Counts use Unicode code points so full-width and half-width characters each consume one documented character slot.
- Automated style warnings are conservative hints and cannot determine Google Play policy compliance.
