How to Use This Tool
App Store Connect uses several limits that look similar but are not measured identically. Apple currently limits the app name and subtitle to 30 characters, promotional text to 170 characters and description to 4,000 characters. The keyword field is different: its ceiling is 100 bytes, so translated text can consume the budget faster than an on-screen character counter suggests.
Do not waste keyword bytes on known names
Apple says an app is already searchable by its app name and company name, so repeating those values in the keyword list wastes scarce space. The checker flags exact comma-separated keyword duplicates and words from the app name that are repeated as keyword entries. It does not invent keyword demand or promise ranking.
Length is only the submission gate
A field fitting the limit says nothing about clarity, conversion or compliance. The app name should identify the product, the subtitle should add a distinct benefit, and the description should explain actual functionality in plain text. Apple does not support HTML in the description. Review the current App Store Connect reference whenever the platform changes.

Model assumptions
- Counts use Unicode code points for character-limited fields and UTF-8 bytes for Apple's keyword field.
- Passing length checks does not guarantee App Review approval, policy compliance or search performance.
