The decision this tool supports
A batch can fit its raw request count yet miss the deadline once latency, concurrency limits and retries are combined. This page keeps the decision bounded to estimated completion time and the supporting outputs shown beside it. API Batch Deadline does not import an account, infer a market rate, or silently substitute an industry average.
Inputs and units
The API Batch Deadline calculation uses Items in batch, Concurrent requests, Average latency, Average attempts per item, Deadline window. Keep all money values in one currency and all time, distance, mass, energy or volume entries in the unit printed beside the field. Mixing API Batch Deadline scopes can produce a plausible number with the wrong meaning.

Formula and worked check
Total attempts = items × average attempts; elapsed seconds = attempts × latency ÷ concurrency; headroom = deadline − elapsed. 100,000 items at 20-way concurrency, 350 ms and 1.08 attempts take 31.5 minutes, leaving 13.5 minutes of a 45-minute window. The API Batch Deadline default is an executable known-answer case, not a benchmark or recommendation. Change one input and verify that the direction of estimated completion time still matches the stated relationship.
How to interpret the result
Positive headroom indicates modeled feasibility; keep a separate operational buffer for rate limiting and latency tails. The additional API Batch Deadline outputs expose the denominator, comparison, capacity or reverse value needed to audit the primary result instead of presenting one unexplained number.
